This long cool drink has a herb based freshness that contrasts nicely with the sweet agave and the sharpness of the lemonade. Perfect to enjoy sipping on the deck, or while watering the garden in the humidity of a Virginian summer.
For the purposes of this recipe I’ve used the term “part” as a unit of measure. This should be taken as the common measure based on the imbibers preferences and the size of the glass, the ratio is what matters not the overall quantity
Serves 1 | Preparation: 1-3 minutes | Cooking: None
- 1 part of tequila (For the test recipe I used Patrón Reposado)
- 3 sprigs of fresh Thyme
- 3 parts lemonade (In this case Newman’s Own Virgin Lemonade)
- 3 parts sparkling mineral water or soda water
- Ice cubes
- A chilled highball glass
This drink is best stirred, so place all the ingredients in the highball glass, stir and sip.
If dressing for success garnish with a slice of lemon, lime, and extra thyme.
